How to Wash Your Extensions

1.Prep & De-tangle: Before getting wet.

Gently brush through your hair using an extension-safe brush (like a loop brush or soft bristle brush). Start from the ends and work your way up to the roots to remove all tangles before adding water.

2.Smooth Shampoo Application: Do not scrub.

Wet your hair thoroughly with lukewarm water. Smooth the sulfate-free shampoo downward through the extensions from roots to ends. Do not massage in a circular motion or bunch the hair up, as this causes severe matting.

3.Condition the Mid-Lengths & Ends: Avoid the bonds.

Apply your conditioner from the mid-lengths down to the ends. Keep conditioner away from the top where the extensions attach (bonds, tape, or wefts), as this can cause them to slip or loosen. Leave on for 2–3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

4.Squeeze, Don't Rub: Drying prep.

Gently squeeze out excess water with your hands, then wrap your hair in a microfiber towel or cotton t-shirt to absorb moisture. Never rub or towel-shake your hair aggressively.

5.Blow-Dry the Roots Immediately: Crucial for bond health.

Apply your heat protectant. Always blow-dry the roots and attachment points on low-to-medium heat right away. Leaving the top of the extensions wet for too long can break down the bonds or tape. You can let the rest air-dry or blow-dry smoothly downward.
